The 14th Dalai Lama once said, “Our prime purpose in this life is to help others.” The best part of my job is reconnecting patients with their hearing. My motivation for pursuing audiology as a career has been my love for learning new things, specifically in ways that help people. Hearing loss can impact relationships, learning, daily interactions, and mental health. Without the sense of hearing, it is difficult to communicate, learn, listen to music, and interact with others. My goal at the end of every appointment is for my patients to leave feeling confident, well informed, and excited to reconnect with sounds that they have been missing.
Introduction
Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Kyleigh grew up in a culture of ‘Aloha’. While we know this word to be a way to say hello or goodbye in Hawaiian, it means so much more to any island local. To show compassion, gratitude, and harmony with those around you are all deeply rooted values within the spirit of Aloha.
Kyleigh grew up to ambitiously pursue her career as an Audiologist with this spirit burning brightly within her. She started her professional journey with her undergraduate degree at the University of Northern Colorado where she also met her husband, Aaron. After 3 years to complete her Bachelors, Dr. Takahashi spent another 3 years acquiring her Doctorate of Audiology from the University of the Pacific. In her final year of her doctoral program, she started here at Integrated Ear, Nose, and Throat as the audiology doctoral extern. Now, she is a part of the team as an audiologist.
Kyleigh is a member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and a member of the Colorado Academy of Audiology. Her commitment to provide the best possible care to her patients is best exemplified by the long-time and returning patients she sees, but also can be represented by the various education seminars and trainings she attends.

When the work is done, it’s finally time to relax. For Kyleigh, this means quiet time reading, watching her favorite films and shows, or blowing off steam at the gym.
Kyleigh loves to travel and is committed to make at least one trip a year to her home in Oahu, Hawaii where she calls home. While at home, most of her time is committed to her friends, family, and of course relaxation.
